At What Cost?
How many of us start each day off thinking about ourselves?
Its only natural right?
Especially folks without loved ones they live with or are responsible for?
Unless there were lingering thoughts from the night before...
Everyday I hope that I stop and think about how I can help my community
Whether its a young man or woman, boy, or girl
Sometimes our elderly, or mature and wise in age
But then I stop and Consider the Cost...
Can I afford too?
It's difficult at times determining which path to take
1. The road where we tunnel vision - focus - on building ourselves to be the best we can be so we can financially, mentally, spiritually, and via our own influence and connections be able to help someone with less then what we have... How long will it take to become that powerhouse?
OR
2. Where we stop at every open hand, every friend/old foe/cousin and kin to share wealth, knowledge, care & concern, earned/networked: connects'... then don't look back, just pray and hope...
I think the individuals I take pride in knowing and make me smile THE MOST!...
Are the ones of us that smile, extend, give, share, help with not one inch of hesitation of "Will this benefit Me"... and even when!!!!! It is not recieved in a grateful form or smiled back upon, or maybe even spit on...they smile in stride...That Child of God.... will stay blessed.
